Who serves on the IBFMC™ and how is its leadership structured?

The IBFMC™ is comprised of volunteer certified functional medicine practitioners who represent various disciplines, practice settings, and geographic locations. One member serves as Chair and another as Vice Chair.

In alignment with certification program accreditation standards and best practices, the certification board also includes a public member. This individual represents the interests of the public who rely on certified practitioners (such as patients, employers, and public health advocates) and is responsible for helping the certification board balance its role in both advancing the profession and representing the public interest.
