What is a digital badge?

A digital badge is a secure, web-enabled visual representation of your certification. Unlike a paper certificate, it contains metadata that verifies your specific skills, the date you earned your credential and when it expires, credential status (e.g. active, expired), and the requirements you met to achieve it.
