How do I maintain and renew my IFM Certification?

If you are transitioning from IFMCP to FMCP or FMCP-M: 

  • Your designation will be automatically updated. 
  • You will follow the FMCP or FMCP-M maintenance of certification (MOC) requirements. 

If you are new to certification and not transitioning: 

  • If you successfully pass the functional medicine exam you will earn designation FMCP or FMCP-M. 
  • You will maintain an active healthcare license. 
  • Earn at least 75 professional development hours each year.
