How do I maintain and renew my certification?

If you are transitioning from IFMCP to FMCP or FMCP-M:

  • Your designation will be automatically updated.

  • You will follow the FMCP or FMCP-M maintenance of certification (MOC) requirements.

If you are newly certified under the Functional Medicine Certification Program after successfully passing the written FMCP or FMCP-M exam, you will:

  • Maintain an active healthcare license, to be confirmed at least every two years.

  • ·Earn at least 75 professional development hours each year.
