For professional development hours (PDH) in the Continuing Education and Training category, what if the training was provided by a commercial entity or product company?

All activities to earn PDH must be free from commercial bias.

Education provided by companies or organizations whose primary business is producing, marketing, selling, re-selling, or distributing healthcare products used by or on patients is not eligible for PDH.

However, if a commercial product company’s education has been designated as Continuing Medical Education (CME) in accordance with ACCME requirements, this will meet the definition of being free from commercial bias and can be accepted as PDH.
